Vintage 1920s dress is a sweetheart in softest bluish pink, a color that is right on the color bridge between pink and purple. This is a sleeveless party dress, with a simple neckline, and closure at the top of the right shoulder. The drop waist is embellished with clean and iris blue beads in a floral motif over a clear beaded lattice set with larger, silver filled flat rounds. The skirt is three soft, scalloped petal-like tiers, each edged with beads that give it some weight, so it has a lovely swish as you move. This slips over the head, closing only with the snaps on the left shoulder.

This dress has been very gently hand laundered and repaired, and it wears beautifully. There are scattered light spots and water spots throughout which are much fainter than when I found it, but not gone entirely. There are two splits to the silk at the front of the snap closure, probably from careless opening. I have backed this with a super sheer peach chiffon from the era to reinforce it. There's two inches of missing beads to the left front of the neckline and a few in the waist embellishment, although that doesn't stand out at all. Some of the silver fill beads have lost their color. Priced with imperfections taken into account.
