Vintage late 1940s/early 1950s dressing gown is a knockout. This isn't perfect, so be sure to read my condition notes, but a piece you'll love living in. This has short sleeves and a narrow collar - it's cuspy, but still has a lot of 40s elements. There's shirring at the shoulders and again below the waist. The bust is gathered at either side of a curving midwaist. The colors are so lush - a butter yellow ground with vibrant bright blue, purple, kelly green and white hibiscus print. It closes up the front with that long metal zipper.

This dressing gown has been gently hand laundered and is ready to wear. The yellow has faded from a much louder color, and you can see the original shade under the collar and arms, or the interior selvage. The fade isn't perfectly even, as the yellow is a bit brighter where it was shaded in the folds of the skirt. As seen in Photo 9, there's a set of four frayed holes on the back left. There's another tiny hole at the front to the left of the zipper. There's two pinholes at the center midwaist. The skirt has various small spots - some foxing, some stains that didn't completely wash away. It wears really beautifully, it's just never going to be 100% again, and is priced gently with that in mind.

I allow returns or exchanges in only rare occasions - only when I have made an egregious error.
You must contact us with 48 hours of receiving your order if you have an issue, and if an exchange is approved, it must be sent within 48 hours after our communication. Items purchased and worn for special events may not be returned - we are not a rental facility. No refunds are issued based on issues with the fit of a garment, please measure carefully and feel free to make inquiries if you need help with sizing.
