An absolute bombshell of an 1930s floral. The silk is soft, lightweight and luxurious. The color theory of this printed silk is incredible - bold, challenging and lush. It mixes teal, orchid purple, a reddish orange with purple, iris blue, moss green and live green, along with black and white fill in this painterly, life size floral print. The piece is, surprisingly, not bias cut, yet it drapes beautifully. This is perfect for those who want the look of the 30s, with a slightly more forgiving cut. It is a halter style, and completely open to the low-mid back. The bust is shaped by triple darts at each side which begin at the back and wrap around the body. At the front, studded in rhinestones of hot pink, purple, blue and emerald green are scattered to sparkle from the neckline all the way to the low hip. At the back, the hips are shaped with clever diamond points and insets that allow for your curves. This closes along the diagonal line of an inset. The short train sweeps behind you as you walk

This dress has been cleaned and is ready to wear. Some of the rhinestones have darkened a bit with time. The previous owner repaired an area of strain at the top of the closure with an iron on patch (see close up). There is a faint touch of yellowing at each underarm, really only seen on close examination. The bust had been previously ruched by hand in the past, and that's fallen out. I left the stitches - they aren't too notable in this busy print - so that you can try to add that back, if you prefer. I find no other issues to note!
